Hi, how’s it going?
I’m so happy you’ve made it here. My name is Jacob Aaron and I’m a photographer and graphic designer. Let me share a bit about myself so we can get acquainted.
Currently, I reside in San Antonio, TX and I’ve grown attached to its diverse palette of scenic hill country and vibrant city streets. I’m originally from El Paso though, and those deserts and poppy-covered mountains will always be home.
I have been shooting and designing for over 15 years now, discovering my passion when I was just a teenager. This led me to art school to pursue a degree in graphic design that ultimately wasn’t meant for me. I, like many creatives, garnered all I needed from college before even crossing the stage and set out to make my own way. While this isn’t the easy route, I wouldn’t change it for a second because it’s allowed me to grow my craft in unexpected ways.
During my time behind the lens, I’ve learned that to photograph others is to see them. To photograph a milestone is to capture the most intimate version of a family’s history. In every session, be it in the studio or on-site for your big day, my goal is to reveal the version of my subjects that feels the truest, just as they were in that moment.
Naturally, my journey beyond college has solidified my dedication to the go-getters that make our community unique. As a graphic designer, I aim to provide business owners — and anyone else — with a brand that is timeless and authentically theirs.
